Vinyl windows are constructed with multi-chambered frames and sashes so that the heat from the outdoors is not transferred into your home. Aluminum frames transfer the heat into your home just like foil transfers heat from your oven to your food. Wood frames do not transfer as much heat as aluminum, but they are generally very expensive and require a lot of maintenance.
Dual pane windows have a space between the panes so that when the outside pane gets hot from the sun, the heat is not transferred to the inside pane and into your home. Optional features such as LowE, Argon gas make the dual pane windows even more effective.
If the windows in your home have aluminum frames, the heat is being transferred through the frame into your home. Aluminum frames will corrode over time, while vinyl windows will not chip, peel, crack or fade.
Possibly. Some homes are built with economy-grade dual pane windows that do not have sealed glass units. Our vinyl windows have sealed insulated glass units specially engineered to resist leaks. Our wide vinyl frame is more energy efficient than the economy models that builders use.
Getting new windows installed is important to ensure that you save on energy costs as well as making sure your home is comfortable. Old and damaged windows can lead to increased energy costs as well as less insulation from the outdoors. So, if you are noticing your energy bill steadily rising and more noise coming into your home from the outdoors, then make sure you get in touch with a local window replacement company to get started on your window replacement service.
Compared to other home remodeling services, getting a window replacement tends to be more affordable while still providing many benefits. From enhancing your home’s curb appeal to helping save on energy costs, getting a window replacement can help you save in the long run. So, if you are looking to remodel your home for the better without paying too much, then a window replacement might be the solution for you.
Determining the best time to replace your windows depends on the climate of the area that you are in. Typically, the best time to replace windows is during the spring and fall since your home won’t have to work hard to maintain a comfortable temperature while your windows are being replaced. Replacing during the summer or winter can lead to higher energy costs during those seasons, but window companies tend to have more availability.
Instead of replacing only one or a few windows in your home at different times, you should consider replacing them all at the same time. Replacing your windows at the same time can provide more of a boost to your home’s energy efficiency instead of replacing them at different times. This can also help them age at the same rate meaning you might get some better deals to get all of them replaced at the same instead of individually.
If you do decide to get a window replacement, make sure you hire a window replacement company that is experienced and provides comprehensive window replacement services. Doing so can ensure that you depend on them to provide you with great products and results. Here at Optum Home Solutions, we provide the following with our window replacement services:
Is it realistic for you to start a bathroom renovation? Often customers have no idea how long a bathroom renovation can take and are not sure what kind of budget they will need to complete it. Before you even start looking for a bathroom remodeling company you should set yourself a firm budget. We also suggest that you put together a plan for how you may function without a bathroom for a few days. If time is an issue for your family try looking into a one-day bathroom installation renovation.
There are so many types of ways to upgrade your bathroom space. If you are trying to get the most out of your bathroom space without spending a lot of money, upgrading your lighting, paint, and faucets can go a long way. However, if you are looking for an intense bathroom renovation where you gut your entire bathroom, you will want to look for a bathroom remodeling company that offers an abundance of services. Most bathroom remodeling companies can help you renovate the wet space of your bathroom, which will transform your bathroom without costing you a lot of time and money.
Trying to maximize space is a very common theme in bathroom remodeling. You can maximize your shower remodel by adding a corner unit into your bathroom space. We have also found that adding glass shower doors or shower barriers will help you maximize your bathroom space. It is also important to add light colors to your walls and good lighting in smaller spaces. When you pair all of these things with a good storage space, your bathroom will feel like a whole new space.
Most people looking to upgrade their bathrooms want to reach that spa-like feeling. Thankfully adding in a standalone shower replacement and a glass shower barrier can go a long way in creating a Zen space for your bathroom. You can also add wall surrounds to your shower space in tile or stone like patterns to give your area a very naturalist feel.
For routine cleaning, simply wipe the surface of your bath, shower, and wall surround with a soft wash cloth and warm water. We recommend using a mild soap. Use of abrasive cleaners and scouring pads will dull the surface over time. Approved cleaners are listed below. If you desire to use a different product, always review the specific cleanser’s instructions, test on a small area beforehand, and be sure to rinse thoroughly after use.
Recommended Cleaners:
DO NOT USE:
Dawn dish soap, Original Clean Shower, Clean Shower for Plastic Showers & Glass, Soft Scrub, Dow disinfectant cleaner, Dow Scrubbing Bubbles, Scrub Free, Lysol disinfectant cleaner, acetone, Lestoil, ammonia, fingernail polish remover, aerosols, or scouring pads.
Use of any cleaners or chemicals listed under “Do Not Use” will cause a dull surface and/or an easily recognizable chemical crack. This will void your product warranty. There is no need to use abrasive cleaners which can also dull the gloss over a period of years. In extreme cases where the recommended cleaners do not work, use a Chore Boy or 3M Sponge pad. Make sure you use only the ones recommended for Teflon or non-stick surfaces.
Liquid drain cleaners are recommended over powders and/or crystal; however, when using liquid drain cleaning agents, bail the standing water out of the bathtub and remove the drain plug. Use a funnel to prevent spills and apply the chemicals directly down the drain. Always make certain that chemicals do not come in contact with the acrylic surface. Use drain cleaners sparingly, so that they do not boil out and damage the acrylic surface.
Original Medicare typically does not cover walk-in tubs or bathroom remodels as they are not classified as durable medical equipment. However, other coverages may be of help here. There are some instances where you can seek reimbursement if the tub is deemed a medical necessity in Medicare Plan B or Medicare Advantage plans. Click Here to learn more!

There can be many reasons you want to remove your screen, but you may not know where or how to start.
1. Identify the Screen: First, identify the window screen you want to remove.
2. Locate the Tabs or Clips: Look for tabs, clips, or latches on the sides or corners of the window frame. These are designed to hold the screen in place.
3. Release the Tabs/Clips: Depending on the type of window, you may need to press, push, or lift the tabs or clips to release them. Sometimes, a gentle squeeze or push will do the trick.
4. Gently Remove the Screen: Once the tabs or clips are released, carefully pull the screen out of the window frame. Be cautious not to damage the screen material or the frame during this process.
5. Store or Clean the Screen: If you plan to reuse the screen, store it in a safe place. If it’s dirty, you can clean it before reinstallation using a mild detergent and water, but avoid using abrasive materials that could damage the screen.
6. Replace or Close the Window: After removing the screen, you can either replace it with a different one or close the window securely if you don’t need the screen at that moment.
7. Secure the Tabs/Clips (if necessary): If your window screen has tabs or clips that need to be secured when the screen is in place, make sure to engage them properly when reinstalling the screen.

We had our shower replaced and used OptiumHomeSolutions . The workmanship was very durable and materials long lasting , because the shower hasn’t shown any deterioration. The side panels and door don’t build scum nor the basin. I highly recommend this company.
